About Music City Ketamine

A different kind of clinic. A different kind of care.

Meet Marla Peterson, CRNA

Marla Peterson is the founder and owner of Music City Ketamine in Franklin, Tennessee. She is a board-certified Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) with over 20 years of anesthesia experience — including thousands of cases managing ketamine as part of surgical anesthesia protocols.

Her credentials include an MSB (Master of Science in Business), APRN (Advanced Practice Registered Nurse), and CRNA certification. She is a member of the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS), reflecting her commitment to evidence-based psychedelic-assisted therapies.

Marla doesn't delegate your care. She personally administers every IV ketamine infusion, monitors your vitals in real time, and adjusts dosing based on your individual response. You are never handed off to a technician.

Before opening Music City Ketamine, Marla spent two decades in operating rooms across Tennessee, gaining deep expertise in pharmacology, patient monitoring, and the clinical use of ketamine. That surgical-grade precision is what she brings to every infusion session.

The Clinic

Music City Ketamine is located at 480 Duke Dr., Suite #100 in Franklin, TN — just south of Cool Springs. The clinic was designed to feel nothing like a hospital or doctor's office.

Each treatment takes place in a private suite with a recliner, weighted blanket, eye mask, and calming music. The lighting is soft. The environment is quiet. You won't be in a room with other patients.

And yes — you may meet Wilma (Director of Vibes) or Walter White (Director of Hugs), the clinic's resident therapy animals. They have a way of showing up exactly when you need them.

Why IV Ketamine

Music City Ketamine exclusively offers IV (intravenous) ketamine — not nasal spray (Spravato), not oral lozenges, not IM injections. There's a reason.

IV delivery provides 100% bioavailability — meaning your body receives the full therapeutic dose with precise control. Marla can adjust the infusion rate in real time based on how you're responding. No other delivery method offers this level of precision.

Nasal spray bioavailability is roughly 25-50%. Oral is around 17-20%. IM is better but still less controllable than IV. When you're treating treatment-resistant depression, PTSD, or chronic pain, precision matters.
